The Ministry of Commerce is confident that, despite the political disturbance the county has been facing, Thailand’s overall export this year would meet the projection of 12.5% growth, equivalent to US$171.537 billion.

Mr. Rachane Potjanasunthorn, Director-General of the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, anticipated that the country’s export would be slightly interrupted by the political confusion as the country is still safe and convenient for business activities so far.

From January to July this year, the country has earned $104.170 billion from exports which is a 26% rise from the same period last year, seeing July’s export hit a record high of 43.9% growth with the value of $16.954 billion.

The export of lifestyle products alone generated a total of $1.025 billion, or a 11.25% increase from the same period last year.
