Most Favored Nation

Thailand is eligible for Most Favored Nation (MFN) tariff treatment, normal trading relations, from the United States and other trading partners as defined under the GATT agreement. MFN treatment of trading partners is the norm in international trade and depends upon the absence of any special favors or preferences. Usually only non-market countries (Vietnam, Cuba, North Korea, etc) lack MFN trade status although some countries have conditional status subject to periodic review.
