Sriracha
Port is a privately owned and operated facility located 12 kilometers
from the shore of Sriracha and 117 kilometers from Bangkok. The port
opened in 1992 and was designed to facilitate movements of cargo to
and from Thailand's bustling eastern seaboard. Sriracha is ideally
sheltered by Koh Si Chang Island offering year round shelter, as well
as being situated with convenient access to many of the industrial
estates operating in the area.
Sriracha
offers loading and discharging of all types of freight, including
bulk and general cargo along with containers and even cruise vessels.
The four terminals at Sriracha are equipped with the most advanced
handling equipment and have the capacity to handle approximately 300,000
TEUÕs of cargo per year. However, the harbor is believed to be operating
significantly below capacity as it faces stiff competition from Laem
Chabang and Map Tha Phut Industrial Port.
Sriracha
Port ships large quantities of bulk and general cargo of industrial
nature including steel and steel structures along with cement. It
most frequent customers have been industrial factories in eastern
coastal area.
