Ornate Beauty
Many old temples in Thailand are decorated with glowing, richly detailed wall paintings.

The paintings generally relate 'Jataka', the stories of the Buddha's previous lives, as well as the life of the Buddha himself.

The murals were designed as instructional aids, to teach laymen the benefits of spiritual attainment and to remind all that conduct in this life can bring future reward or punishment.
