Akha
The headdress of beads, feathers and dangling silver balls is the most distinctive characteristic of the Akha people, who originally migrated to the Golden Triangle region from Tibet.

Akha villages are located along mountain ridges or on steep slopes over 1000 meters in altitude. The Akha are among the poorest of Thailand's ethnic minorities.
