New portal launched — The Nation

BANGKOK (The Nation) - Thailand.com, a portal site of the Nation Multimedia Group, was launched yesterday to help exporters reach their overseas markets.

The site will offer a wide range of information on local travel, news and the export business. In the initial stage the export section will be the first to serve the visitors.

The export section offers information on more than 6,000 local exporters and their products, trade fairs and exhibitions, a list of shipping companies, export and import laws and a question-and-answer facility.

“The export section will help domestic exporters find international markets,” said Sermsin Samalapa, president and chief operating officer of Thai Portal, the homepage operator founded by Nation Multimedia Group, publisher of The Nation. Sermsin said the section would increase attempts by Thai entrepreneurs to explore the benefits of e-commerce and enhance the country's export performance.
