to reveal e-commerce strategy for exporters at TEPD 2000

Internet
portal thailand.com will host a seminar on e-commerce and give out the
names of 400 foreign firms interested in making deals with Thai exporters
at Thailand Export Promotion Days 2000 (TEPD 2000). thailand.com is one
of major sponsors of TEPD 2000, an export forum which will take place from
October 5 to 7 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The
chairman and CEO of the Nation Group and Thai Portal, Thanachai
Theerapatvong, said: "We want Thailand's exporters to learn
about thailand.com and the global business strategies we can offer
them.
"For
example, the export channel of thailand.com is an export information
and services hub which targets manufacturers overseas that want
to do business with Thai exporters, and Thai exporters that want
to promote their businesses abroad."
The
president and COO of Thai Portal, Sermsin Samalapa, said the exhibition
space for thailand.com is in the E-export pavilion, covers an area
of 90sqm, and is decorated in a mixed Thai and modern style topped
by a large Hanuman, the symbol of thailand.com.
On
each of the three days of TEPD 2000, thailand.com staff will be
on hand to provide participants with export- and internet-related
information. A video presentation will also be repeatedly played.
In
addition, they will give away a name list of foreign firms interested
in importing Thai products. And on October 6, Thai Portal will host
a seminar called How To Succeed In Business Over The Internet, from
9am to midday at BITEC's GH 202 convention hall.
