of Export Promotion Officially Appoints Thailand.com as its
E-Commerce Provider to Thai Exporters

Thailand.com,
owned and operated by Thai Portal Co., Ltd., has officially been appointed
by the Department of Export Promotion(DEP) to provide e-commerce to its
more than 2,000 exporter members, which the web portal said it will be
ready to immediately launch the e-commerce services as an alternative export
channel for Thai exporters nationwide.
Mr. Thanachai
Theerapatvong, Chairman and CEO of Nation Group and Thai Portal Co., Ltd.,
said the appointment by the Department of Export Promotion as the official
e-commerce service provider to Thai exporters confirms the success and
the confidence given to Thailand.com, dubbed as one of Southeast Asia's
prominent e-marketplace.
Mr. Thanachai
insisted that with its expertise, teamwork and leading strategic partners,
Thailand.com will definitely help the Department of Export Promotion's
more than 2,000 exporter members to have a better understanding of e-commerce
as their future export channel.
President
and COO of Thai Portal Mr. Sermsin Samalapa added that " this appointment
means Thailand.com is chosen to design and set up Web site to more than
2,000 Thai exporters where the Department of Export Promotion will sponsor
Baht 10,000 for each and every established Web site. At the same time,
Thailand.com and other medias under the Nation Group will help advertise
Thai products and export information to potential customers worldwide.
