thailand.com/Meet
World trade, a leading Thai web portal, recently held a seminar
under the title "Integrated Exports via the Internet"
designed to educate Thai exporters on the importance of e-commerce
in international trade. The event was held on Wednesday 28
November, 2001 at the Royal Princess Hotel. The portal invited
its business partners - Bank of Asia, Royal and Sun Alliance
Insurance (Thailand) Ltd., SGS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and CS
Internet, which are e-commerce co-service providers to members
of thailand.com/Meet World Trade, to participate in the seminar.
The co-operation between thailand.com/Meet World trade and
its business partners enables exporters to conduct the full-cycle
integrated export process via the Internet. Around 200 participants
joined the seminar.
Torboon
Puangmaha, Chief Operating Officer, thailand.com/Meet World
Trade revealed that the seminar was a part of the "export
through e-commerce project", launched by the Department
of Export Promotion. thailand.com/Meet World Trade was selected
by the Department of Export Promotion as an official e-commerce
service provider to Thai exporters.
The
company's Chief Operating Officer added that to date over
700 exporters have joined the project. The objective of this
latest seminar was to help create linkages between Thai exporters
and thailand.com/Meet World Trade's business partners with
the aim of offering a fully integrated export service through
the Internet. The thailand.com/Meet World Trade site offers
a range of services to facilitate exporters including a website
management system, which allows users to edit content and
pictures of their company and products by themselves, and
an online negotiation system, which enables exporters to exchange

history, and carry out full online transactions with international
importers.
