Q:
What is a cookie?
A: A "cookie"
is a small text file a web site can use to recognize repeat users.
This recognition helps you bypass login or registration screens
and allows us to track usage behavior across the thailand.com site.
By tracking such behavior we can better organize and allocate resources
to improve our site.
Some of our advertisers
may use cookies as well. They collect click-thru data on advertisements
to gauge how well individual campaigns work.
Cookies do not
contain any personally identifying information. Most browsers allow
you to control how cookies are accepted or stored, and allow you
to delete all existing cookies from your hard drive at any time.
Q:
How do I download information?
A: Most
text and pictures can be downloaded from the thailand.com site free.
For information on how to download text and pictures, check your
browser’s on-line help pages.
Certain sound
and video clips can be downloaded by a simple mouse click. However,
you may not be able to hear or see the download without the proper
plug-in or helper application. Many browsers come equipped with
everything you need to listen to or see the information you download,
but some don't. Check out our help section on Plug-ins for more
information.
Q:
Can I download anything I want?
A: Most
of the information, images, sound and video clips on the thailand.com
site can be downloaded free. However, this information is generally
protected by copyright law and is not for further distribution or
commercial purposes.
Some downloads
also require a payment. These downloads are clearly marked with
the cost of the download indicated.
