Pattaya
is only the most famous of the beaches in Chonburi province.
Its wild hedonism contrasts with the more sedate atmosphere
of a number of other seaside resorts such as Bangsaen, and
the island of Ko Si Chang, which attract primarily Thai vacationers.
Beaches near to Pattaya, such as Jomtien and Naklua, are cleaner
and more conducive to enjoyment of water sports, while still
allowing easy access to the nightlife, entertainment, golf
courses, dive shops and numerous other attractions of Pattaya
Beach.
Pattaya
Beach
Pleasure
seekers will revel in the exotic, cosmopolitan seaside city,
famous more for its riotous and intoxicating nightlife than
its less than pristine beach. Superb, reasonably priced golf
courses and excursions to nearby islands for diving enthusiasts
are just two of the innumerable attractions which promise
something for everyone in Pattaya.

Jomtien
Beach
Larger,
cleaner, safer and less expensive than Pattaya Beach, Jomtien
is located just two kms (a 10 baht songthaew ride) south of
South Pattaya. Less boat traffic means more enjoyable swimming,
windsurfing, water skiing and parasailing.

Ko Lan
The
only island near Pattaya with facilities for tourists, Ko
Lan is a place where all water sports can be enjoyed, and
it is usually not crowded during the week.
