Lon Island, a mountainous island with level land along the shore, is about 30 minutes by boat from Chalong Bay. There is a long stretch of beach on the northeast coast. The Muslim inhabitants mainly engage in fishing, along with rubber and coconut cultivation.

There is a regular passenger boat or ferry service at 8.00-9.00 am at a fare of 150 baht per person from Chalong Bay in the south of Phuket, or you can hire chartered long-tail boats at 800 baht at your convenience and save time. Accommodation with all basic comforts are provided at a small resort on the island.
