Welcome \ Travel \ Thai Cuisine

 



Khao Yam Pak Tai
Ingredients:
For 2 servings
2 cups steamed rice
2 cups grated coconut, roasted
1/2 small pomelo, shredded
1/2 cup dried shrimps, finely chopped
1/2 cup beansprouts
1/2 cup lemongrass, finely sliced
1 egg, beaten and cooked into an omelet and shredded
2 dried chilies, pounded
1 tbs. kaffir lime leaves, finely sliced
1 tbs. coriander, finely chopped
4-5 lime slices
Sauce:
1 cup water
1 tbs. palm sugar, chopped
2 kaffir lime leaves, sliced into small pieces
2 tsp. lemongrass, very finely sliced
 

Preparation:

1. In a small pot, boil all of the sauce ingredients. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and filter.
2. In a large serving platter, arrange the rest of the ingredients in separate piles.
3. To eat, spoon rice onto individual plates, and take a little of each ingredient to mix with the rice. Top with the sauce.

Note : Another typical southern dish for those who always wish to keep slim.
