Trekking at Mae La-Na

Sunset at Mae Hong SonOn route 1095 from Mae Hong Son to Pai is the Mae La-Na Shan Village, which offers a number of very beautiful forests, mountains and caves. From the village, visitors can trek to many nearby attractions such as the Red and Black Lahu villages and several small caves (Tham) nearby. The prices of local guides are typically between 200 to 600 baht per cave, and the most popular destinations include Tham Mae La-Na, Tham Pakarang (Coral Cave), Tham Phet (Diamond Cave), Tham Khao Taek (Broken Rice Cave) and Tham Khai Muk (Pearl Cave).

There are also additional treks from Mae La-Na to Tham Lot and Soppong (20 km) and maps of the area are usually available at Mae La-Na Guest House.
