Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary

waterfall--one of many breathtaking views at Phu WuaThis wildlife sanctuary, located along the Lao border is by far the best location for eco-tourism in the province. This park, located only 31 km from the district of Bung Kan, some 185 km east of Nong Khai, boasts a tremendous array of pristine waterfalls. In addition to some truly breathtaking views, there is a relatively wide variety of rare wildlife and vegetation on hand.

Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary can be reached from Nong Khai by bus, for a fare of 35 baht.
