Hiking at Khao Lak Beach

There is a network of sandy beach trails between Khao Lak and Bang Sak. Some of these trails can lead you to deserted beaches where you can have wonderful and relaxing hours in private. The treks are fun to explore on foot or by motorcycle as well as on bicycles. With its tranquil and rustic atmosphere Hat Khao Lak is becoming popular, especially among European visitors. Easy to access, it is located about 25 km south of Takua Pa. The sandy beach studded with smooth granite boulders extends for many kilometers. Hat Khao Lak encompasses an area of 125 sq km within Khao Lak/Lam Ru National Park. Lined up with towering sea cliffs and 1000 m hills, the park offers some of the most magnificent landscapes of beaches, estuaries and forested valleys shaded with mangrove jungle along the shores.
