Ton Nga Chang Waterfall

Elephant Tusk WaterfallThe period from October to December, after the rainy season, is the best time to visit this waterfall 25 km west of Hat Yai. That is when it is most impressive, though water flows all year round down the seven tiers of steep cliffs. The third of these gives it the name, which translates from the local dialect as Elephant Tusk Waterfall, because the flow separates into two nearly symetrical cascades. The waterfall is located in a wildlife reserve which has trails for hiking. To get there take the Hat Yai - Rattaphum Road, turn left at the km 13 milestone and continue another 13 km until you reach the entrance to the park.
