The Beauty of Nam Tok Tad Dao at Si Satchanalai National ParkDeclared a national park on 8 May 1981, Si Satchanalai covers an area of 213 sq km, extending into the Si Satchanalai and Thung Saliam districts of Sukhothai. Basically a mountainous park, Si Satchanalai also boasts broad expanses of cogan field. In addition, this park also features two gorgeous waterfalls, Nam Tok Tat Duan and Tat Dao, which are located about 500 m and 3 km respectively from the park headquarters. In addition, there are two notable caves, Tham Khang Khao (the bat cave) and Tham Thara Wasan, which are well worth a visit.

To get there, take highway 1201 from Si Satchanalai to Ban Nong O. Then, turn right to Ban Sarachit and simply take Ban Kaeng-Ban Pak Kayang-Ban Pa Kha road to the park's headquarters. The distance from Sukhothai is about 50 km.

Accommodation within the park is also available. For information on prices and availability, please contact the National Park Division, Royal Forestry Department, Tel +66 2 579-0529, 579-4842 or 579-7223.
