Bird watching at Kaeng Krung National Park

HornbillRare animals including hornbills can be found within the park. Kaeng Krung has spectacular scenery of a complex mountain range with various kinds of plants and flowers, and also has various kinds of wildlife such as wild elephants, bison and red cows. Located in Wiphawadi sub-district, the national park covers a verdant tropical forest occupying Klong Yan Wildlife Sanctuary and Kaeng Krung National Park.

The Klong Yan River serves as one boundary of the wildlife sanctuary. Within the park the Klong Yan Sai Yai River is a nice spot for a rafting adventure. It is comprised of brooks and rivers separated into several streams with many large rocks making a fast flowing current during the rainy season. The park also has a hiking trail for nature trekking. Kaeng Krung encompasses several picturesque waterfalls: Bang Chang, Klong Kloak Klark, Bang Duan, and Klong Chun Waterfalls. There is also the Bang Cham hot water springs providing a brook of natural hot mineral water.
