Loei is an easily accessible
province, thanks to the beauty of the natural attractions.
Many roads and highways to Loei pass hills, rice paddy fields
and many towns. Bus service is available all day till late
evening. Traffic to Loei is quite busy when the weather is
getting cold in the wintertime which draws the travelers to
experience the temperature of below zero degree Celsius on
the flower and green grass fields of the mountains.

No direct flight leads
to Loei but you can fly with Thai Airways International Ltd.
to Phitsanulok or Udon Thani as an alternative and take the

By Bus
Buses
leave for Loei from the New Northern Bus Terminal (Mor Chit
Song) on Kamphangpeth Road from the early morning until night
everyday. 24 seat air-conditioned VIP buses leave Bangkok
one trip a day at 9.00 p.m. and spend 9 hours to transit the
560 km The return trip leaves Loei bus terminal at 8.40
p.m. Forty seat air-conditioned buses (blue) leave Bangkok
at various times from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. and four times
for the return trip from Loei bus terminal from 9.00 a.m.
to 8.30 p.m. The air-conditioned bus standard 2 (orange) departs
from Bangkok at 5.00 a.m. and the last one leaves at 9.30
p.m. The return buses leave Loei for Bangkok four times a
day, 8.00 a.m., 9.00 a.m., 6.40 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. A regular
bus leaves the Northern Bus Terminal once a day at 4.00 p.m.

By Train
No railroad
lines cross Loei. Travel by train can be done by taking the
train from Bangkok Railway Station for Udon Thani and Khon
Kaen. From there take a bus to Loei. For further information

By Car
From
Bangkok use Highway No.1 (Paholyotin) past Saraburi town.
Turn onto Highway No.21 past Petchabun, change to Highway
No.203 past Lom Sak, Lom Kao district and enter the Dan Sai
and Phu Rua districts of Loei. It takes about 7-8 hours. The
alternate route is to use Highway No.2, called Mittrabhap,
past Nakhon Ratchasima and enter Khon Kaen, then turn left
onto Highway No. 12 past Chum Pae and turn onto Highway No.
201 and go through Phu Kradung and Wang Saphung districts
right to Loei town.
