From Bangkok 


By Plane

There is no direct flight to Nong Khai. Passengers can use the domestic flight service of Thai Airway International Ltd to Udon Thani province. From there take the bus to Nong Khai, a distance of 51 km For more information call +66 2 280 0060, 628 2000. Udon office Tel +66 42 222 845.

By Bus

Buses leave the Northern Bus Terminal (Mor Chit Song) on Kamphangpeth Road everyday. Air-conditioned VIP buses, with 24 seats, leave Bangkok for two trips, at 8.00 p.m. and 8.30 p.m., and the return trip leaves from Nong Khai at 8.00 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. It takes 10 hours to travel the 614 km

Air-conditioned buses Standard 1, with 40 seats, leave Bangkok for Nong Khai in three times a day at 8.30 in the morning, 8.30 p.m. and 9.15 p.m. On the return trip, buses depart Nong Khai for Bangkok in the morning around 8.30 a.m. and three trips in early evening, 7.00 p.m., 28.00 p.m., and 8.30 p.m. taking about 7.30 hours.

Air-conditioned bus standard 2 (orange bus) leaves Bangkok in the evening and heads back from Nong Khai around 6.00 p.m.

Non air-conditioned buses depart from the Northern Bus Station from 04.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

By Train

An Express Train departs Bangkok to Nong Khai everyday a 7.00 p.m. and arrives at the destination around 7.10 a.m. A special express train leaves Bangkok Railway Station (Haw Lam Phong) around 8.30 p.m. and gets to Nong Khai around 8.40 a.m.On the return trip, express trains leave Nong Khai for Bangkok daily at 8.10 a.m. and 7.25 p.m. The special express train departs Nong Khai at 6.35 p.m. and arrives Haw Lam Phong around 6.00 a.m.

By Car

Take Highway No. 1, pass Saraburi and turn left to Highway No.2, pass Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani. Total distance is approximately 615 km
