From Bangkok 


By Plane

There is no direct scheduled flight from Bangkok to Rayong, but Bangkok Airways has daily flights from Samui to Utapao airport, which is 40 minutes by bus from Rayong. Some charter airlines fly direct to Utapao airport where vacationers can disembark for either Rayong or Pattaya without having to pass through Bangkok's Don Muang International airport.

Orient Thai Airline operates regular scheduled flights from Chaing Mai-Rayong-Utapao-Bangkok.

By Bus

Bangkok- Rayong (Ekamai)
Air conditioned buses from Ekamai leave Bangkok every 30 minutes from 4.00 am to 9.00 am and every 20 minuites from 9.20 am to 7.20 pm, after that time buses depart the station every hour. From Rayong the bus leaves every 30 minutes from 3.30 am until 8.30 pm and every 20 minutes from 8.20 am to 6.40 pm. The trip takes about 3 hours.

Second Class air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok every hour from 3.30 am until 4.30 pm. Return trip buses leave Rayong every hour from 3.30 am until 5.30 pm.

Ordinary buses leave Bangkok every hour from 4.30 am to 7.00 pm and leave from Rayong to Bangkok every hour from 3.00 am to 6.30 pm.

Bangkok-Rayong (Morchit 2)
Air conditioned buses from Morchit 2 leave Bangkok every hour from before dawn until 9.00 p.m. And from Rayong they start at 4.30 pm until 7.30 pm The trip takes about tree and half hours.

Bangkok-Ban Phe 
Air conditioned buses leave Bangkok to Ban Phe every 1 hour from 5.00 am until 7.00 pm and leave Ban Phe to Bangkok every hour from 04.00 a.m. until 06.30 p.m.

Bangkok-Klaeng (Sam Yan)
Air conditioned buses leave Ekamai Terminal from 5.00 am.until 10.00 pm and leave Kleang from 4.30 am to 7.30 pm every hour. The trip takes about 4 hours.


    By Train

There is no direct train service to Rayong, by a train from Bangkok to Pattaya leaves from Hua Lamphong station at 6.55 am and takes about 3 hours and a half. The one-way fare is 31 baht. From Pattaya you can take a mini-bus, regular or air-conditioned bus, or taxi to Rayong. The trip takes about one and one half hours. Bus fares vary (30 baht for non-air-conditioned buses, more for minibuses and air-conditioned buses) and taxi fares are negotiable.
