A traveler has many options
for getting to Krabi. If driving 946 km wasn't so tiring,
you could experience the fascinating way of life of the local
people and also get a beautiful view along the road down to
the south. It would be easier to take the bus to Krabi, which
it takes about 12 hours to there, and you can save travel
time by leaving Bangkok in the evening. For the traveler who
has plenty of time, travel by train is recommended. But the
fastest way to get there is by plane.

Thai
Airways International operates flights from Bangkok to Krabi
three days a week (Tuesday, Fridays and Sunday). Tickets can

By Bus
Buses
leave Bangkok for Krabi daily in the evening. The journey
takes about 12 hours. 24 seat air-conditioned VIP buses leave
the Southern Bus Terminal two times a day, 18.00 p.m. and
18.30 p.m. and arrive at the destination around 6.00 a.m.
and 6.30 a.m. relatively. Return trips on the VIP bus leave
Krabi city at 5.00 p.m. The 40 seat air-conditioned buses
(blue) depart the Southern Bus Terminal in the early evening,
7.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. For the return trip, buses leave Krabi
bus stand at 4.00 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. Air-conditioned buses
standard 2 (orange) leave Bangkok for Krabi at 7.30 p.m. and
Krabi to Bangkok at 4.40 p.m. and 5.20 p.m. The regular buses
(orange) leave Bangkok at 19.30 p.m. and depart Krabi for

From
Bangkok Railway Station take the train to one of the following
stations: Trang, Phun Pin in Surat Thani Province, or Thung
Song in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. From any of these places
a bus may be taken onward to Krabi. Regarding train schedules

By Car
Take
Highway No. 4, passing Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khirikhan, Chumphon,
Ranong, and Phangnga Provinces before reaching Krabi, a total
distance of 946 km. An alternate route is to take Highway
No. 4 to Chumphon and then turn onto Highway No. 41. This
leads through Lang Suan and Chaiya Districts of Chumphon to
Wieng Sa District of Surat Thani from there follow Route No.
4035, passing Luk Bay District of Krabi, back onto Highway
No. 4, and down to Krabi Town.This shortcut is just 814 kilometers,
and is followed by the bus services.
