Most of the town is easily accessible on foot. If you wish to explore every inche of Phangnga, you can rent a motorcycle from Sayan Tour at the bus terminal. Songthaews between Phangnga and Tha Dan (the Phangnga Customs pier) cost 15 baht.

One can hire a boat to travel around Phangnga Bay from Tha Dan, the Phangnga Customs pier. Tours from the pier vary from 150 to 400 baht per person. There is the overnight trip operated by Sayan Tour of which the office is next to bus terminal in Phangnga. A additional piers where you can get boats to Phangnga Bay are as follows: Surakul or Kasoam pier in Takuathung District and the pier within the Phangnga Bay National Park.

Getting away to nearby provinces

To reach the so-called “Pearl of the South” or Phuket, cross the parallel spans of Sarasin and Thao Thep Krasatri Bridges, then use route 402 from Phang-Nga province.

Buses leave Phangnga for Krabi every half hour, cost 36 baht and take 1 and half hours; air-conditioned buses leave hourly and cost 52 baht. To Surat Thani ordinary buses cost 55 baht and take 3 and half hour. Other air-conditioned buses to destinations around Southern Thailand : Ranong, two or three departures per day for 120 baht, Hat Yai, six departures per day for 196 baht, Trang, 11 departures per day for 121 baht, and Satun, two departures per day for 196 baht.
