Getting Around

Getting Around

An easy way to get around in Phetchaburi’s downtown is by van (songthaew) or ‘Leng Car’. These can be hired at bus stations and markets for 5 to 10 baht per person, depending on your destination. You need to confirm your destination with the driver before getting on. It’s possible to charter a songthaew for the whole day for 200 to 300 baht, depending on your bargaining power.

For short distances of about 1 or 2 km., you can try a samlor. Two people can sit in a samlor for about 10 baht per person. Travelers can charter a samlor for the day to see four or five places with a fare of about 100 baht.

Motorcycle taxis are a fast and convenient way of traveling distances less than 2 km. The cost is around 10 baht per person.
