Train

Getting around by train is
a good way to see Thailand’s sites as the railway network
extends to all regions of the country. Some travelers prefer
traveling by train to other modes of public transport because
it offers exotic views of the country and is much easier if
you want to take a picture. Generally, the farmland, forest
and village scenery along the train routes is much better
than on the highways.
Train services
are provided by the State Railways of Thailand (SRT), a state
enterprise operating for more than a century. Bangkok has
two principal stations: one at Hua Lampong on Rama IV Road
and the other at Bangkok Noi in Thonburi, on the west bank
of the Chao Phraya River.
