Chaiwatthanaram Temple

Chaiwatthanaram TempleLocated on the banks of the Chao Phraya west of the city island, this monastery was built during the reign of King Prasat Thong of Ayutthaya. The temple's main stupa and satellite stupas, showing some Khmer influence, are still in good condition.

The ruins can be approached by long-tailed boat from Chankasem Palace for 300 to 400 Baht (for a one-hour round-trip service) or from the road which runs along the outer bank of the river.
