Phra Mahathat Noppha Methanidon

His Majesty The King's chedi, Phra Mahathat Noppha Methanidon, is situated on the summit of Doi Inthanon Mountain in the Doi Inthanon National Park.

Phra Mahathat Noppha Methanidon was erected in 1987 by the Royal Thai Air force, on behalf of the Thai people, to celebrate His Majesty's sixtieth birthday. In the base of the octagonal Chedi is a hall containing a green stone Buddha image.
