King Mengrai Statue

King Mengrai the Great Monument, honoring Chiang Rai's founder and it's most illustrious king, is situated in the east of the provincial capital at the so-called 'haa yaek' (five way junction). The site is at the start of the road that leads to the small towns of Mae Chan and Mae Sai.
