Wat Nam Hu

Phra Un Muang, a Chiang Saen Buddha ImageLocated 3 km from Pai city, this old monastery was once abandoned.

Recently, restoration programs have saved this temple from ruin, and it now is the home of Phra Un Muang, a Chiang Saen Buddha image, in the ubosot.

This 500-year-old statue measures 28 inches wide and 30 inches high and is considered the pride and joy of the Pai people. The top of the image can be opened and there is a continual seepage of water, which many believe to be holy water.
