Wat Pie Lom

Wat Pie Lom is another great place to see Phetchaburi's unique cement modeling or 'poon pun'. The temple's style shows that it was built in the late Ayutthaya period. Now it is deserted with the ruins of only some parts of its rite hall ('ubosot') still standing. Its inner walls display the cement modeling, depicting the Buddha's history, the Buddha's footprint and a strange seven-storey building. Its arches and windows are similar in design to the Borom Buddharam Temple in Ayutthaya.

The temple is located on Phra Song Road near Phetchaburi's prison.
