Wat Phra Buddha Saiyat

Reclining Buddha images at Phra Buddha Saiyat TempleThis temple's main shrine hall or 'ubosot' houses one of the four largest reclining Buddha images in the country. The image is about 43 meters in length, constructed in brick with black lacquer and a final coating of gold leaf. It was built in the Ayutthaya period and for a long time located outdoors. The hall was added to shelter the image during the reign of King Rama IV and renovated in the reign of King Rama V.

The temple is situated at the bottom of Khao Wang (on the south side), on Sirirattaya Road. It is not far from Phetchaburi's city pillar shrine.
