Wat
Pha Kho
Wat
Pha Kho is not particularly memorable for its architecture
or for the murals and reclining Buddha image which can be
found there. It does have a statue of Luang Pho Thuat, a monk
who performed a miracle which is the source of the legend
surrounding the temple. After being kidnapped by pirates then
shipwrecked, he saved his captors from dying of thirst by
dipping his foot into salt water, thereby turning it to fresh
water. The grateful pirates then released him. The Wat is
located on the shore of Songkhla Lake about 10 km north of
the Khu Khut Water Fowl Park.
