Sawankha Woranayok National Museum

38 km from Muang Sukhothai and another 2 km on a road to the left is Sawankhalok District, where Sawankha Woranayok National Museum holds an exhibition of sculptural arts from different periods. The museum was opened for the first time in 1984. It carries the most famous ceramic wares of Sukhothai period (called Sangkhalok) and the pottery items retrieved from the shipwreck in the Gulf of Thailand (Ao Thai).

The museum is open daily but Monday, Tuesday, and official holidays, from 9.00am to 4.00am. The fee is 30 baht. For further information, call +66 55 641-571.
