Coins include:
25 satang, 50 satang,
1 baht, 5 baht,
and 10 baht.
Paper denominations include:
10 baht, 20 baht,
50 baht, 100 baht,
500 baht and 1000 baht.
 

The basic Thai currency is baht (baat) and 1 baht consists of 100 satang. Satang are used only for bus fares and the prices of products in supermarkets.

Banks and legal money exchangers offer the best exchange rates and protect you from getting counterfeit notes. It's easy to find ATMs (Automatic Teller Machines) in provincial towns.

Every town has its own post office which is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. For extra services, you can go to the post offices in the provincial capitals which are also open on Saturday from 8.30 to midday.
