Ordinal Numbers Useful Words
Fractions

Fractions
Fractions are formed by inserting 'seht' before the upper integer of the fraction, 'suan' before the lower integer. In everyday usage, if the upper integer is one, the 'seht' phrase may be omitted.

'Half' has its own term, 'khreung'

2/9
seht sorng suan kao

Thai Numerals
Arabic numbers are widely used in Thailand, but it is useful to be familiar with the Thai system of writing the numbers 1-10. These numbers are, incidentally, written the same way in the Lao and Cambodian scripts.
