Ob
Luang National Park
The
Ob Luang National Park is situated approximately 120km southwest
of Chiang Mai city along Highway 108 on the route to the towns
of Hot and Mae Sariang.
The
park covers an area of 553 sq km and features a picturesque
ravine framed by teak forests and mountains. The most spectacular
and beautiful scenery is the winding line of the Salak Hin
River as it meanders through a very narrow gorge with sheer
walls at Chong Khao Khat. A small footbridge crosses the narrowest
part about 100 m above the torrent below.
Several
pre-historic archaeological sites were found here.
