Khao Phang Waterfall

This cascade is quite close to the end of what remains of the World War II era 'Death Railway', near Nam Tok Station. The trip along the notorious railway is a fascinating experience for anyone interested in wartime history or just to take in some of Thailand's most beautiful jungle scenery.

The falls themselves can be reached by local bus from Nam Tok Railway Station or by bus from Kanchanaburi. The trip takes about 2 hours with buses every half hour between 6.45 am and 6.00 pm. The bus ride presents attractive views of the unusual shaped limestone hills and dense forests in the area.

The best time to visit Khao Phang Waterfall (and for swimming) is during the rainy season (June to September) when the streams are in full spate.
