Bung
Kaen Nakorn
Situated
to the south of Khon Kaen, Bung Kaen Nakorn, with a total
area of over 50 acres, is one of the provinces premier recreation
areas. With a large, clean lake, and modern facilities, this
park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of
the surrounding countryside. Also, Bung Kaen Nakorn is noted
for its excellent food-stalls and small, local restaurants
offering delicious local cuisine. The most popular offerings
are the northeastern specialties: som tam (fiery raw papaya
salad) and kai yaang (barbecued chicken), with warm khao niaow
(cooked sticky rice) and fresh vegetables.
