


The province
of Nong Khai, which lies along the Thai-Lao border in the
northeast, offers a wide range of attractions for the nature
lover. In addition to an abundance of lush, green, virgin
forests, Nong Khai has several beautiful waterfalls, mountains,
and some spectacular views of the Mekong River. Additionally,
due to relatively little tourism, this area remains extremely
pristine, and full of natural beauty.

from out of nowhere, this solitary mountain peak is one of
the more stunning sights in Nong Khai, and also houses an
intricate series of caves and an extremely peaceful temple.

Thip Waterfall
Located
110 km from Nong Khai, on the scenic Nong Khai-Sri Chiang
Mai highway, is this beautiful two-tiered waterfall, which
swells to magnificent proportions from June until October.
