Lak-Lam Ru National Park
Khao
Lak-Lam Ru was declared a national park in 1989. It is a huge
park covering a total area of some 125 sq km of Thai Muang,
Ka Pong, Ta Kua Pa, and Muang Districts. Amid the verdant,
forested hills, the park encompasses different kinds of plants
and tree species. It lies about 33 km south of Takua Pa Town
on Route 4. Major spots of interest in Khao Lak-Lam Ru include:
Khao
Lak: Lak Mount is a mountain beside the sea. It
houses a shrine of Chao Pho Khao Lak constructed to honor
the wizard of the mountain. The highly revered site lies opposite
the Khao Lak Seashore. One can take Route 4 for 25 kilometers
from Amphoe Ta Kua Pa then make a left turn between km 56-57
to enter the mount.
Lam Ru Waterfall

Ru Waterfall:
Nam Tok Lam Ru is a petite waterfall with 5 diminutive levels.
The fall is of middle height in the area of Kradai Range.
The waters flow all year at Lam Ru and many varieties of birds
live in the shade of the numerous species of trees surrounding
the falls. A small path trail leads to the top of the waterfall.
Nam
Tok Lam Ru is accessible by a branch road from the Highway
4090 passing Amphoe Kapng, then going onward to Ban Lam Ru
about 9 kms with another 1 km to reach the falls.
