Khu Khut Water Fowl Park

migratory birds at Khu KhutBird watchers will not want to miss this 500 sq km sanctuary about 30 km north of Songkhla. More than 200 species of birds have been recorded in surveys conducted by the Forestry Department. The bird watching is at its best in the early mornings from December to March when migratory species supplement the large number of resident waterfowl. The park headquarters is located three km from the village of Sathing Phra, which can be reached by buses which go north from Songkhla across Ko Yo and up the coast. Once in Sathing Phra motorcycle taxis can be hired to take you to the park. For 150 baht per hour boats can be rented for sightseeing in the sanctuary. For information call +66 74 397-042.
