between Rock Hard Go Go and Suzie and Crazy Beer Bar is one
of the better go-go bars in Clinton Plaza. Hollywood East
has an outside bar where one can survey the goings-on in the
Plaza while having a beer with friends. From there one can
go up the steps past the large photos of motion picture celebrities
and enter the go-go bar itself. It is large and comfortably
appointed, with a good sized stage usually adorned with a
dozen or so cuties. Beers are 90 baht. You will want to buy
a lady drink (usually orange soda or tea) for the scantily
dressed companion who will befriend you soon after you arrive.
Upstairs there is a pool table, and areas which are a little
more private for those who wish become better acquainted with
the girl or girls of their choice. The usual rules regarding
bar fines and appropriate gratuities apply. Hollywood East
is clean, well run and not as deafeningly loud as some of
the other spots on the plaza. It is open until 2 am.
