to Clinton Plaza. Rather small by the standards of the other
open air bars in Clinton Plaza, such as the one pictured,
its location makes it one of the most popular. The bar was
reportedly named after a famous White House intern. She is
said to have been invited to the grand opening, along with
a U.S. President of her acquaintance, but it seems she declined
the honor. Beer costs a reasonable 60 baht but mixed drinks
and cocktails are expensive. Monica's is a good place to watch
the talent headed for the Thermae Coffee House late at night
or very early in the morning.
