Superstar
is another long-time face along Patpong 1, on the left-hand
side coming from Silom. It used to be one of the more vibrant
bars along the strip with lots of dancers, food and videos.
These days the place is much more subdued with just a handful
of rather tired-looking dancers providing the entertainment.
Nonetheless,
Superstar is one of those must-visit places along Patpong.
The bars management is friendly, as are the regulars. The
group of hard-drinking 'farangs' that occupy one corner of
the bar have been visiting the place nightly for more than
a decade. They are pretty much a part of the furniture.
Prices
are fairly standard; beers in the range of 80-100 baht ($2.00-2.50)
a bottle depending on brand.
