The
Hard Rock Cafe has established itself as an institution of
Rock N Roll since the first branch opened in London in 1971.
The Bangkok branch has been open now over 10 years.
With its guitar-shaped bar, great American food and live bands
playing rock and pop every evening from 10.00 pm, Hard Rock
is a 'must-see' for visitors to Thailand. As well as the three-storey
bar and restaurant, a small attached shop sells souvenirs
such as T-shirts, hats and other memorabilia.
Hard
Rock is a popular family restaurant in the day, but attracts
a faithful crowd of Thais and farang rockers in the evenings,
after 10.00 pm. The band, currently Telefon, kicks in around
10-10.30 pm. Dancing on the bar is the tradition here, every
night at around midnight. HRC opens daily from 11.00 am to
2.00 am.
