Monet
is one of the smallest of the artist bars on Soi 33. The narrow
interior is dominated by a long bar where you will find a
dozen or so young ladies dressed as if they had just stepped
out of a picture painted by Monet himself. A set of stairs
leads up to a small balcony where there are a couple of comfy
couches, and not much else. The sound system blasts out painfully
loud rock music, so if you want to make conversation it is
best to sit out at the table on the front steps, where there
is usually a bevy of young beauties flirting with the passersby.
Beer
and drinks for the companionable young women both cost about
150 baht, except during happy hour when the price drops by
half. Happy hour ends at 9 pm. Monet Club closes at 2 am.
