in other provinces but the deep south, Buddhism remains as
the major religious faith in Khon Kaen with 98.88% of population,
followed by 1.01% Christians, and 0.08% Muslims.
Khon Kaen is famous for its
fascinating cultural sites and annual festivals of which unmatched
style well represents the northeastern unique culture. Phra
That Kham Kaen defines the province's cultural heritage as
an origin of pre-historic tales since Davaravadi and Lopburi
period. The founded artifacts include so many ancient utensils
of Isaan ancestors. Nowadays, Khon Kaen becomes an educational
center for those students who are interested in exploring
the northeastern region's archaeological objects.
