Krabi is divided into eight districts:

Based on 1996 records, Krabi’s GPP per capita was 56,796 baht, ranked the 21st in Thailand and the 6th in the south. The Gross Provincial Product (GPP) is composed of agriculture (8,755.106 million baht), the service sector (2,691.559 million baht) and the wholesale and retail sector (2,121.570 million baht) relatively.

Krabi’s main sources of revenue are rubber, oil palm and coffee plantations.
