Historical Study Center
The
Ayutthaya Historical Study Center is a national research institute
devoted to the study of Ayutthaya, particularly when Ayutthaya
was the capital of Siam during the period 1350-1767.
Sponsored
by the Japanese Government, the center is responsible for
the museum of the history of Ayutthaya, which features reconstructions
from the Ayutthaya period. The center also has a library,
with comprehensive materials detailing Ayutthaya's past, and
an information service.

Historical Center is located on Rochana Road, not far from
the local Tourism Authority of Thailand office. The center
is open 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays except for Monday and
Tuesday, and 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
